My Purpose

My new purpose in life is, along with just getting out there and having a good time, is to give YOU, the reader, a sense of what life at Washtenaw Technical Middle College is really like.

Ever made a big change in life and had no clue in the world what you're in for? Potential students and parents: I'm here to give you the honest to goodness, uncut and uncensored truth. No sugar-coating here. I'll give compliments only when they're true, and I'll be blunt about the downsides of this... unique school.

To any teachers out there who want to know what dirt is floating around? Look here. Any gossip I'll spill into this blog. But here's the catch: me and other students will remain completely anonymous. This is a blog, not a source of evidence to pin down a guilty student. ;)

To current students and alumni: you can just read this for kicks, whether it's to relive the glory days or check out what us first years are doing. It'll be good fun. :)

To anyone else, you have no real reason to be here, but keep coming anyways. Although I'm making this out to be an "informational narrative" type blog, go ahead and read it just for fun. It's really just the story of my life.

That's all I have to say, so enjoy the blog, and tell your friends! Comments are appreciated. ;)

Delayed Update...

I'm at the library's PC stations now. All the computers in my row and some others are named after something from Harry Potter. EPIC.

Alright, back on topic. Sorry about the long wait, guys, real life has taken it's toll on me! First off, I've joined the ultimate frisbee team here, which practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On the same day I have PolySci in the morning before my middle college classes start, so those two days are checked out. Mondays and Wednesdays I think I'll have time to update, just these past ones are an exception. Fridays are funny. The moms is home, so I'll probably get picked up relatively quickly after school, not enough tome for a decent post. I'd rather avoid posting at home, for some reason. Parental intimidation, I guess. Remember, I'm keeping this blog secret from everyone, and I mean everyone.

So, I'm busy with frisbee and all that stuff. It's fun and all, and my teammates seem really cool. Only problem with me doing a sport is that my endurance SUCKS. The newbies went for a quick run in practice yesturday. At the start i was towards the front and keeping up pretty well, and by the time I got back I was just chilling out and walking with another girl who was a failure at running.

You know, putting all this into a blog feels kinda weird, I actually wrote something in my journal last night. Do you believe it? (Naruto: Believe it!) Forgive my otaku-outburst right there. I don't call myself "otaku.of.doom" for nothing.

So, first week of school is in the can and week two is soon to follow. No complaints so far, except for my science class. I feel really odd and a bit immature in that class. Everyone is so damn quiet, for the love of God! *sigh* At least Clare is in that class, she really loosens up once she leaves that room. And her English classmate Paula I met yesturday when I had lunch with her seems cool, too.

Before practice yesturday, I got talking to a 3rd year named Mark. Turns out that after the first semester, I don't have to carry as many books around! Score! That and he said a few kids from here actually got caught doing drugs and such in the woods. Well, teenagers will be teenagers. But still, what a relief! The only reason I was getting cold feet about this school over the summer was because I grew down a little, and I was afraid that everyone here would be a serious, stuck up control freak! Well, I guess some kids in my science class are like that. But whatevs. I'll just sit at a different table during class today.

Okay, I'm done rambling now. Go life your real life while I just sit here blogging the day away... okay I lied, my real life is as hectic and overtaxing as anyone else's. Well, it's better than my nonexistent life last school year. See, that's an improvement! See you... whenever I get a chance to update, which may range from one day to one month. God only knows.
