Needless to say, I've forgotten about this blog for a solid however many months it's been since an update. You go count 'em, I've got a post to write.
Since last post, a crapton of stuff has happened. One, I'm now in an established friendship with Clare, Paula, and a few other girls such as Marianne, Maryam (lol, it sounds the same :3), and Khadija. Two, I'm now in all college classes. Translation: I had to get green and red cards signed for four different classes. It sucked. By the way, green card= I'm attending the class, red card= WTMC gets money for my class. Get 'em in, smiles all around.
I don't create smiles all around, if you catch my drift.
Third, you remember what Mark said about having fewer books in college classes? He lied. That sick bastard.
Anywho, I've learned an important lesson this semester: having regular homework assignments makes life easier and happier for everyone except the poor sap who has to grade them. Especially if you're like me and you won't do jack shit unless it needs to be done within the next three days. Unlike the rest of my life, I'm having to actually study for tests. Well, in history anyway. ENG 111, aka Composition I, is entirely paper-based, my Photoshop class is a cakewalk, and even Pre-Calculus is a cakewalk. Seriously, I had perfect attendence in the block of time before our first test and had a perfect score, and between that and test 2 I played hooky about three times and still managed a high A. I believe this means I'm awesome.
As for my social life, it's still slow. On the bright side, it's moving, as compared to my completely stagnant social life from the past. I've got a steady group of friends I hang around with and I go out fairly often (even though it's just wandering around Ann Arbor by myself after school), but my group and I have only been "out" one time this whole school year. Maybe I should take up the reins instead and get us out into the outside world... *evil laugh*
So, potential students? If you value your current social life or are coming here in search of one, you're out of luck. A pair of friends I know who are really close have only been to each other's houses once or twice during the fall semester.
Another note to potential students: people here are "good." To show you how "good" it is here, I'm the most badass and rebellious person out of my circle of friends, yet I was also one of the last ones in my K-8 class to lose their "innocence." Of course, any shred of innocence I had left was burned to a crisp and fed to the narwhals this past summer...
One last warning to potential students: try with all your power to not end up in Ms. Broderick's winter semester science class your first year. I've heard rumors that she takes the class on a field trip to the sewage treatment plant that stinks up both the campus and everything else within a five-mile radius at approximately 8:00 in the morning. I've also heard rumors that you can see used condoms in the water there, and that's not even the most disgusting thing in there. So yeah, try to get out of 1st-Year science class early.
What Happens in WTMC: Uncut and Uncensored
My Purpose
My new purpose in life is, along with just getting out there and having a good time, is to give YOU, the reader, a sense of what life at Washtenaw Technical Middle College is really like.
Ever made a big change in life and had no clue in the world what you're in for? Potential students and parents: I'm here to give you the honest to goodness, uncut and uncensored truth. No sugar-coating here. I'll give compliments only when they're true, and I'll be blunt about the downsides of this... unique school.
To any teachers out there who want to know what dirt is floating around? Look here. Any gossip I'll spill into this blog. But here's the catch: me and other students will remain completely anonymous. This is a blog, not a source of evidence to pin down a guilty student. ;)
To current students and alumni: you can just read this for kicks, whether it's to relive the glory days or check out what us first years are doing. It'll be good fun. :)
To anyone else, you have no real reason to be here, but keep coming anyways. Although I'm making this out to be an "informational narrative" type blog, go ahead and read it just for fun. It's really just the story of my life.
That's all I have to say, so enjoy the blog, and tell your friends! Comments are appreciated. ;)

Delayed Update...
I'm at the library's PC stations now. All the computers in my row and some others are named after something from Harry Potter. EPIC.
Alright, back on topic. Sorry about the long wait, guys, real life has taken it's toll on me! First off, I've joined the ultimate frisbee team here, which practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On the same day I have PolySci in the morning before my middle college classes start, so those two days are checked out. Mondays and Wednesdays I think I'll have time to update, just these past ones are an exception. Fridays are funny. The moms is home, so I'll probably get picked up relatively quickly after school, not enough tome for a decent post. I'd rather avoid posting at home, for some reason. Parental intimidation, I guess. Remember, I'm keeping this blog secret from everyone, and I mean everyone.
So, I'm busy with frisbee and all that stuff. It's fun and all, and my teammates seem really cool. Only problem with me doing a sport is that my endurance SUCKS. The newbies went for a quick run in practice yesturday. At the start i was towards the front and keeping up pretty well, and by the time I got back I was just chilling out and walking with another girl who was a failure at running.
You know, putting all this into a blog feels kinda weird, I actually wrote something in my journal last night. Do you believe it? (Naruto: Believe it!) Forgive my otaku-outburst right there. I don't call myself "otaku.of.doom" for nothing.
So, first week of school is in the can and week two is soon to follow. No complaints so far, except for my science class. I feel really odd and a bit immature in that class. Everyone is so damn quiet, for the love of God! *sigh* At least Clare is in that class, she really loosens up once she leaves that room. And her English classmate Paula I met yesturday when I had lunch with her seems cool, too.
Before practice yesturday, I got talking to a 3rd year named Mark. Turns out that after the first semester, I don't have to carry as many books around! Score! That and he said a few kids from here actually got caught doing drugs and such in the woods. Well, teenagers will be teenagers. But still, what a relief! The only reason I was getting cold feet about this school over the summer was because I grew down a little, and I was afraid that everyone here would be a serious, stuck up control freak! Well, I guess some kids in my science class are like that. But whatevs. I'll just sit at a different table during class today.
Okay, I'm done rambling now. Go life your real life while I just sit here blogging the day away... okay I lied, my real life is as hectic and overtaxing as anyone else's. Well, it's better than my nonexistent life last school year. See, that's an improvement! See you... whenever I get a chance to update, which may range from one day to one month. God only knows.

This iMac feels weird.
It so does, readers. I'm currently in the massive computer lab at the Gunder-Myran building (also home to my English class) typing my fingers away to little stubs on an iMac. Because they were there and I never get to work on a Mac.
This morning, I had no PolySci, so this left me with a lot of time to kill. So, I went over to Starbucks and got myself a frapucinno, however the hell you spell that. Word of advice: Starbucks is a money-sucking douche. $4 for a 12-oz coffee shake thingy. Do that every day and it comes to $20 a week. I'm too lazy to continue doing the math, so do it yourself if you plan on doing the whole SarbUCKS thing (take away the lowercase letters to reveal a hidden message).
I went to get my bus at the transit center afterward. I waited for like twenty minutes without a form of entertainment. Once it arrived and I got on, two people did odd things. One: some old guy was talking to himself and letting out a high-pitched hyena laugh every minute or so. Yeah, a little creepy. Two: a kid with the whole gangsta look going on had taken a pick old ladies use to comb their hair and stuck it in the back of his head and left it there. Not to sound racist or anything, but both people were negros.
I arrived at school without any other problems, and went to science class. I was, needless to say, dismayed when I found out I needed an actual binder for the class. I'd already gone out and bought a notebook and folder for each class. They were decent things, too. Thankfully, it was my dad's money. I guess I could just hold onto them until next semester when I don't have to conform to their idea of "organized."
At lunch, I ate with J-u, who I met at orientation, and a pair of girls she introduced my to as C and L. ROFL, there's a detective in a manga I read who goes by "L." This blog is going to be fun, I can already tell. I'm a poet and don't know it. *shot*
If you told me a year ago that I'd spend this school year eating from a vending machine, I wouldn't have believed you. If I only knew.
In math, I remembered that anything "logical, rational" absolutely bores me to tears. If you didn't get the quotation marks, my teacher used that phrase so many times it's not even funny. Or is it? Let's just say that if I were a number, I'd be pi. I also need to use a binder for this class. Another notebook/folder duo wasted. *head/desk*
English was fun. We played a little "name game" and couldn't stop joking around. I enjoyed it, everyone else (teacher included) enjoyed it, win-win situation. I can use my notebook-folder duo. :) I got my first assignment today. I have to come up with a ten-point table of contents for the story of my life and then write one of those chapters. Only the list is due tomorrow, so I can procrastinate a little bit. ;) I admit, it's a pretty cool assignment.
I also learned another important lesson today: wear comfortable shoes! I wore some fairly new ballet flats today, and I've now got blisters on the back of my heels that are lookin' pretty nasty. I'm wearing my moccasins tomorrow for sure.
Tomorrow, comb-kid from the bus ride is going to find his picture plastered over Facebook. I mean, really? Is that a fashion statement or a mistake? J-u says it's a mistake. I don't blame her one bit.
Well, I'd better go buy myself a couple binders at the bookstore. With my own money. My God, the walk from the bus stop to Mom's office is gonna totally suck. Learn from my mistakes, people. Now to end on an optimistic note: I only have an obese textbook for math, all the others are either nonexistent or too small to matter. ^_^
Peace out, folks.

Intro and the Orientation
Hello WTMC student, parent, teacher, alumni, potential student, or random person who just stumbled across this blog in a fit of boredom. I am otaku.of.doom, and for the next three years this blog will be part of my life. For certain reasons, my name and the names of other students will not be given. Teachers and staff, not so much. Why? You do want to know what teachers are douchebags and which ones are cool, right? And any teachers out there may want to know what people are saying about them, right? We cool on that? Okay, I think that's over.
One thing you should know about this blog: I'm not withholding judgement on anything. So if I use a cuss word or two or blow up IN ALL CAPS LIKE THIS, go read the title. It says Uncut and Uncensored for a reason. ;) I'm hoping that this will provide a sense of "realism" to the blog. I'm not saying I could possibly represent every single student at this school, because there's no way I could do that. But I'll do my best. Alright, that's enough. I'm hoping you've read the intro post on my home page, so everything's been explained. Now I'll actually cut to the chase: just what the hell happened today!
Today was Friday, August 27, 2010, which was also the last Friday of the month. Compared to the public schools from where I come from, this is early. Not that I really care that I'll have a lengthy 1.5 month summer after now. After all, we get more breaks and days off than the public schools so overall we don't have as many school days. Take that public school suckers!
I was roused out of bed this morning at... I don't even know, my room is currently a disaster and I can't get a good look at my clock, so it was all up to Mom. *smirk* So, I'll say around 7. And I will be getting up this early every single day for the rest of the year. I view this is a blessing. I woke up at 5:30 at my old high school, 6:15 is I was up for going without breakfast or proper grooming and making a mad dash for the door.
After I showered and brushed my teeth and all that, Mom and I were out the door. I live about twenty minutes away, although with rush hour traffic and dropping off siblets and crap it'll probably become thirty on Monday. On the way there, I tried listening to the radio. Apparently it's law to have every single bloody station in existence have either a commercial break or talk show nobody cares about playing at approximately 8 in the morning. Outside of that, we arrived without a hitch.
We went into the Morris J. Lawrence building, where most of the orientation stuff would be held. For about 45 minutes, there would be a continental breakfast and socializing and stuff like that. Entering the building, I made a beeline for the bagels. Grabbing one with the original name "everything bagel" (which doesn't even have everything on it, they forgot the pineapple), I got myself some coffee and started chatting with the girl in line next to me. I would up at one of the standing tables with her and her mother and brother. The were in the same year, though as obviously not twins as the sky is blue.
My mom had to walk up and join the conversation, of course. After I got a little bored, I went off to talk to a student ambassador and a fellow first year standing in the middle of the room. We chatted for a bit, and I learned a valuable lesson: first years are babied, third years are worshiped, and nobody really likes the second years.
Afterwards we divided off into groups depending on our BASE advisors. No, I haven't a damn clue what "BASE" stands for. Anyway, my group all filed into one room, and let's just say it was quite a bit crowded. We divided up once again. One group went with a redheaded girl who was an ambassador for a campus tour, and another went with a larger boy who was also an ambassador to get student IDs. Both were second years, I noticed. The third group, mine, stayed in the room and did a little chatting with the advisor. To avoid my identity being discovered, I'll refer to the advisor as "MC Hammer." Don't ask. A few girls in the group, who I'll refer to as J, J-u, T, and N, and myself hit it off pretty well, and we had a decent conversation going by the time we got to the security office at the Student Center and got our IDs. We were still talking quite a bit, though not entirely clustered together during the campus tour.
Once we returned to the Lawrence building, J, J-u, N, and I sat together in the auditorium while the deans ran their mouths for an hour. T went off to sit with her best friend, who was also coming to WTMC. Good for her, although I do hope we could still hang out.
Presentation over and done with, the students were supposed to drop by all their classes while the parents did God-knows-what.
Remember how I said that I wouldn't be able to capture the life of every student here? This is where I branch off. Most of the students have Logic and Reasoning, Environmental Science, a math class, and English. I, because I went to an advanced K-8 school back in the day, got to skip out on Logic and Reasoning and take a full-fledged college course. I happened to choose PLS 112, which is just college-speak for Intro-Level Political Science. This is cool and all, but honestly! They're making me feel like I'm the main character in a fantasy series! Harry Potter who survived the Killing Curse, Zoey Redbird of House of Night who is an "advanced" fledgling vampyre, Edward Elric of Fullmetal Alchemist who is special in almost every way imaginable, and [censored] of WTMC who gets to take a college course first semester (I admit, maybe this blog isn't totally uncensored. But it'll only be the names that are cut out, trust me!). The list goes on.
So, while everybody else was hunting down their first class, I decided to go get my PolySci textbook. It actually went pretty well. What's funny is that while I was in line, this one lady was walking around. Turns out she was trying to pick up a textbook for her daughter. I would feel really lame if I were that girl, having your mom pick up your books. I'd probably go myself anyways, even if I were sick or something. XD So I got my book. I felt accomplished afterwards.
Next I went over to the Liberal Arts building for my Environmental Science class. We played the one game where you stick a card on your back with a word on it and you have to guess your word. My word was pizza. Win. B) While playing the game, I ran into a girl I knew, but never talked too. The sad part is that she was my frequent lunch buddy at the public high school. And we never talked. I was so pathetic back then.
Math class that day... there was a cute boy. He'll be called J-o. We chatted for a bit before class started, and I decided that he was a "potential," if you catch my drift. What I loved was how I clearly felt my face flushing 'cause he was cute and all, but speech and body language-wise I didn't miss a beat. I can see us going somewhere. ^_^
English was relatively uneventful. All we really did was go over seating formations and when to use them and stuff. Afterwards, I walked with some people back to Lawrence to meet up with the 'rents. I was almost there when I realized I'd left my PolySci textbook in the English classroom, so I had to go back and get that. Fail. XP
I went to Driver's Ed later after lunch. I was halfway through the drive when I realized I still had a piece of tape on my shoulder from the game in Science. Another fail du jour. ^_^
So, I'll see you all Monday! * salutes*
